.. update update update

.. did another test this afternoon before the expected wind and rain .. this time, using Canon 70-200 f/2.8IS L.

One Sunday Afternoon

Well, friends called up to meet at the park for a volleyball game. I took my camera and my 50mm f/1.4 and 70-200 f/2.8L IS along. I had this plan of testing the B technique. I like how the subject is focused and the background thrown off, deep DOF.

There were just a couple of families who where there when we arrived, so I asked Chelsea to pose for me.... and this is what I got..

Spring of 2012

We spent my wife's birthday at Brookside Botanical Garden with my sister's family visiting from Connecticut. Took plenty of pics at the garden and did some portrait too. Here are some of our pics from the afternoon stroll at the garden.

Right up there with Daddy Pedro, Mama Terang and Tatay Periong.

Yes we all know that we need to be strong,

But through our family your memory will live on.

You don’t need to fight anymore just let go and let God,

While you were here on earth you did your job.

You did your part to keep family together,

That’s why you will remain in our hearts always and forever.

Sinulog 2012 - Maryland Edition - Pit Senyor!

I believe these Ladies and Girls deserve a post on my blog.. and I am doing it as a gesture of my appreciation for their wonderful job. They did a traditional Sinulog dance offering over the weekend at St. Mary's Church Sinulog 2012 Festival to honor Senyor Santo Niño.

Ladies and Girls, YOU DID A GREAT JOB!!! Congratulations!
