Hit The Ground Running

Here is something new.  Me and my wife Dinah started running for the past 3 weeks.  It was a spur-of-the-moment kind of decision we did and never regretted or questioned it.  We just took off and hit the ground running.. well, not literally, we started by walking about 2 miles around our neighborhood to get the feel and let our body adjust to this new activity. Since then, we never looked back.

Over the weekend, we climbed the summit of Sugarloaf with friends and our daughter, Chelsea, came along.  Sugarloaf Mountain has an elevation of 1,282 ft. and a vertical of 800 ft. We started around 10 in the morning at the base and trekked all the way to the summit via White/Blue Trail and finally the Orange/Red Trail.

The climb was fun but coming down from the top was another story.  Dinah suffered an inflamed Meniscus and can hardly walk and bend her left knee and struggled reaching the base. Well, after our adventure, we had lunch at Iron Age Korean Buffet Restaurant with our friend Rey and Niriza.  Food was great!... but had to go to the Emergency Room after to have Dinah's knee checked.

It is just a little road block, Dinah said that she will do the climb again after giving her knee some rest...that's the spirit!!!

So, I will try to document our daily activity (and hopefully do an update weekly).
